The Okuma ITX Carbon reel is built for ultimate durability. Lightweight, stiff C-40X long-strand carbon fibre in the body, side plates and rotor provides extra strength where it's needed most. The machined aluminium handle screws directly into the reel, ensuring maximum safety and stability. The high-performance 7HPB +1RB ball-bearing system allows the reel to operate trouble-free in both fresh and coastal waters, thanks to the machine-cut brass pinion. The machined two-tone anodized aluminum spool is surrounded byOkuma 's rotor cyclonic flow system which increases air flow through the rotor orifice, increasing drying time and minimizing corrosion throughout the reel. The reel contains a carbon-fiber multi-disc drive system with a hydraulic block that prevents water from entering the reel and keeps the drive running smoothly.
