Halibut Pellets - 3mm (S0920019) SONU HALIBUT PELLETS - 3MMHalibut Pellets are a superb bait for all specimen fish especially Barbel and Chub.Made using the highest quality fish meal and rich in fish oils, these dense pellets will keep its shape, leaking flavor into your swim for longer periods of time.These Greenland halibut pellets can be used dry through a feeder, a common way is to use the 4mm version through a maggot feeder which allows the smell and a slow trickle of pellets to come out, washing the hook downstream.They can also be used through a mesh feeder or river feeder simply by moistening them with water. Place the required amount of pellets in a pan and pour in a little water, just enough to cover the outside of the pellets and shake them well. Then allow 30 minutes for the water to be absorbed by the pellets, shaking them every 5 minutes to ensure that the water is evenly distributed throughout the pellets. The pellets will soften slightly, allowing them to be pressed into a mesh dispenser. The rate at which they come out of the mesh dispenser can be changed by squeezing them harder to keep them in the dispenser longer. Generally, at the beginning of a session, when you want to create a bed of bait, pressing them gently will allow them to come out of the feeder faster, but as the session progresses, you can create a more competitive feed by slowing the speed at which they come out of the feeder.
