Lead Korda Tournament Casting Swivel 3.5oz
This lead was originally called the distance throw, but it had to be adjusted when the long-distance pitcher, Alan Partridge, convinced me that his lead was much greater. His lead is more like the shape of the Arseley bomb and is widely used today. The old Zip Lead disappeared from the scene for a few years, until I started fishing with Frank Warwick. He still thought the old Zip Lead shape was very good and he asked if we wouldn't do a little more for him. That was no problem. It didn't take long before the phone turned red. Frank had told other people about this lead and they wanted them too. In the meantime, we sponsored the casting competition for the British Angling Championships. During a visit, several participants said that their Zip lines were throwing even further than the ones we had done. That also seemed to make sense. The shape was slightly different, so there was more weight at the front. This made them much more stable in the air than our old Zip lines. After extensive research, we decided to improve our Zip Tracks and used the competition track features as well. The 4.5oz and 5oz were the first at Frank Warwick's request. He was enthusiastic and nowadays, the weight range of the tournament casting swivel is between 1.5 and 5 oz. as the name suggests: this is the thread you have to use if you really want to throw far. Whether it's a 2 oz. or 5 oz. weight, you'll always go further than with any other advance. Use this line in combination with the Korda Lead Clip system, the new Korda Run Rig system or the helicopter platform for maximum distance.
