Description
The PENN Squall II rods are a range of rods designed to cover all drifting and trolling styles from the boat, perfectly matching with the PENN Squall II reels. The rods are made with a one-piece tubular glass blank and a solid tip to help prevent breakage. The heavy-duty 3-leg stainless steel SeaGuide guides with aluminum oxide are extremely tough and will ensure perfect line management during the fight with even the biggest bluefin tuna. For added comfort, the Squall II Boat rods feature a triangular-shaped EVA foregrip to reduce rod rotation under pressure. Heavy-duty graphite (on 20-50lb model) and machined aluminum reel seats (on other models) ensure a secure grip on the reel, while the gimbal adds strength and a secure connection during the fight. The slick butt prevents damage to the rod butt in the rod holder, while the bent-butt models come with a short aluminum bent butt, making them very suitable for fighting big fish in a stand-up position.
