This revolutionary 8-strand braid ( 7 strands of Dyneema and 1 strand of Gore ) combines the performance of GORE with the mastery of 8-strand braiding technology from SUFIX. This precision construction produces a perfectly round and even braid, and improves both tensile and knot strength. GORE fibers are made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene ( ePTFE ). PTFE is an inert material, insensitive to salt water, all chemicals and UV rays. GORE has a very low coefficient of friction, giving this braid superior abrasion resistance, reduced noise and vibration and, of course, enhanced throwing performance.
