Adapted and versatile to satisfy commercial, natural and international fishing styles, with a maximum length of 5m. The handle is made up of three sections, plus a 1m extension.
This new high-performance handle is built with top-quality carbon and reinforced joints. It is therefore light, rigid and resistant in all its combinations. With a length of 5 metres, the handle is ideal for international situations, where anglers sit high up or have obstacles or seaweed in front of them that they have to clear with the landing net. In many top-level competitions, the extra length of the landing net gives anglers the assurance of being able to catch fish when they appear from a great distance.
The handle's versatility comes mainly from the fact that it has two different wires that are double pinned at the end and at the second section. This allows anglers to have a thinner end of the handle, which can be used at any length of the end section up to 5m long. If you want a super-thin, lightweight short handle for a particular situation, there's nothing to stop anglers using just the first and second sections. You can also use the first, second and third sections, or the full 5 meters.
The second line is in the second section, also double pinned in place, to give anglers the option of a much stiffer handle with thicker support at the end of the net head. The carbon at the end is tapered to prevent the end from becoming too bulky. This type of handle has been very popular on the commercial scene, offering ultimate strength and also giving anglers the power and control to pick up and manoeuvre their landing net through the water to catch big fish with confidence. The one-metre extension makes perfect sense when using the landing net in this combination, as it gives anglers an extra metre of reach and control, plus the highly rigid performance of the second threaded section with the landing net. Previously, many landing nets with a thicker thread could only be used for short lengths.
In the rear section of the 1 m extension, the handle is fitted with a float protection cone. This cone reduces damage to the back of the rod, which often rests on the bank behind the angler, and also prevents grit, dirt and stones from entering the rod. When placed in the water in a wading situation, it creates a floating rear end that prevents the handle from filling with water.
The finish of the landing net rod is smooth, giving anglers a balance between maneuverability and grip, as well as being aesthetically pleasing!
We wanted to make sure that the thread, where the landing net is screwed into the rod, was incredibly strong and reliable. These nets are very strong and are double-pinned, as we've already mentioned, for optimum safety.
