The NAISBN from Nasa is an AIS receiver module for PC or plotter GPS equipped with an NMEA0183 input for AIS (38400 Bds). It receives AIS radio signals from boats equipped with a transmitter, converts them to NMEA format and transfers them to your chartplotter.

The NAISBN from Nasa is an AIS receiver module for PC or chartplotter GPS equipped with an NMEA0183 input for AIS (38400 Bds). The NAISBN receives AIS radio signals from boats equipped with a transmitter, converts them to NMEA format and transfers them to your chartplotter.
NAISBN comes with a free copy of "SeaClear" which is a trial version of the software on board. The software runs under Windows, and includes a world map on which the ships are displayed. Any vessel on the screen can be selected and its AIS data displayed. This includes vessel name, MMSI number, position, call sign and destination and more.
NAISBN RECEIVER FOR PC OR GPS
The AIS receiver can also be used with plotters orautres computer software (Maxsea, OpenCPN...) that have an AIS input. Check your software for compatibility. A high speed NMEA 0183 input at 38400 baud is required to accept VDM AIS channels.
If your PC does not have a port 9-pin (db9), an optional USB converter is available.
Combined with an optional VHF antenna, it will be complete and ready to use. The connection to a system GPS is required for the operation of this box.
Note: Compatible with all GPS chartplotters with AIS option and with all navigation software with AIS option.
