These Dark Matters leaders feature our Heli-Safe system and can be fished with any helicopter-style rig, whether it's a conventional hook or a chod rig. This leader is impregnated with tungsten collars that allow it to stay attached to the bottom. It also incorporates the Chod Safe system, which allows your hook to detach from the leader in the event of a break in your main line, and your hook can be easily attached via a QC swivel.
The DM Heli-Safe Leader is available in a choice of 1m or 50cm lengths, giving you enough room to move the top bead up, for example when fishing in deeper silt or weeds, to ensure a good presentation when using the long version. Some sites now have rules limiting the maximum length of your leader, and this is where the 50cm version can come into play - it's also ideal for long distance fishing as it throws further.
The other end of this leader has a fused loop, to which your main line can be attached, or to allow the leader to be easily removed, the loop-to-loop method is best. The Dark Matter leader material is highly abrasion resistant, has a breaking tension of 40lb, and can be adapted to any type of lake bed you fish on, as it is available in a choice of clear, grass, or gravel. Each package contains one leader.
