New to the Shimano braid range in 2021, the Kairiki G5 offers an innovative design. Built around 4 identical strands and one different strand, you'll have in your hands a 5-strand braid with unique characteristics. The 5th strand, braided in the middle of the 4 autres strands, has a profile that is both stronger and heavier.
The braid as a whole will therefore tend to sink faster in the water column. It will also be easier to split in the wind, ensuring successful casts even when the weather's not cooperating. You'll also eliminate some of the belly effect caused by the current.
