The ever-popular PowerVerter PVPro range of USB chargers has now been updated to include USB-C options, expanding the broad design concepts of USB charging on vehicles. Models are now available offering combined dual USB-A & C and single USB-C output versions.
In addition to the standard (rear-mounted) version, all models are also available in front-mounted versions. This is a popular option when access to rear space is limited, and also allows rapid removal and replacement if required.
The standard protection rating is IP30. However, PVPWp versions retain the slim design and offer reinforced protection to IP65 (not the connectors). Reinforced PV65R versions, which are also IP65 (no connectors), offer additional transient protection and are particularly suited to more demanding environments, such as installation in vehicle walls.
Power output performance has also been enhanced. In addition to charging cell phones Apple and Android, USB-C models offer higher current outputs for limited charging assistance on tablets and laptops.
Standard versions require just 20 mm of rear space (typical) and can easily be installed in seat backs, walls and dashboards on buses and cars. A range of installation module designs provide upgrade options for under-seat, table and wall mounting.
