This is because the fish were taking all the bait off the feeder without touching the hook, leaving the hook without food around it, which defeats the purpose of Method feeder fishing. So we decided to make a stickier, harder, denser, and easier to compact groundbait on a Method feeder for the places where this happens. 50:50 Method & Paste Natural has a very high protein content from fish meal and ground pellets, and that's what helps it compact around a Method feeder, which means it will easily withstand the impact of casting, hitting the water, falling into the water and all the little bumps from fish trying to knock the leader off. The high fishmeal content lends itself perfectly to creating a paste for the rod by simply adding more water. Mixing instructions50:50 Method & Paste Natural is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2-quart maggot pan with water, pour it over the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then let it sit for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed by the groundbait. When fishing, the sun and wind can dry out the groundbait a bit, to combat this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a wet towel or if it dries out, just add a little more water and mix again.
