The fine particles of fishmeal create an inactive mixture when moistened, which is perfect for quick breakdown of food around the hook. The fine texture of the groundbait means it will form a light mist of attractants when it melts on the feeder, quickly creating a feeding zone. It can also be made into balls and fed on the rod, and also creates a great slope for shallow fishing.Pro Green Fishmeal is simple to mix. Empty the bag of groundbait into a round bucket, fill a 1-quart maggot pan with water, pour it over the groundbait and mix well, then let it sit for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed by the groundbait. For best results, to eliminate lumps and create a smooth consistency, strain the groundbait through a sieve and it's ready to use. When fishing, the sun and wind can dry out the groundbait a bit, so to combat this, you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it dries out, simply add a little more water and mix again.
