To achieve maximum casting distance with your chosen sinker, shape is important; there's nothing better than the Tournament Casting design. It's a similar shape to the original Distance Casting sinker, but the nose is slightly heavier to ensure it flies farther and is even more stable, especially in crosswinds, which means you can use a lighter sinker than you might otherwise have, and still get the same distance.
Instead of a swivel, the Heli version has a ring, which makes it ideal for use with the Heli-Safe system and gives a much cleaner set-up that will cast even better. Its streamlined shape also reduces the risk of tangling.
